Dusit & Wana : Dusit Zoo app for iPhone and iPad

This is the first application (App) that has been created in Thailand and it is specially for the kids like you guys! With this application, you will be wondered and have fun by discovering the incredible facts and stories of more than a hundred species of the animals living in Dusit Zoo. You can enjoy yourself with the application by either reading the information or listening to the narrator’s real voice, and it is very easy for use so that you can search for all information about your beloved animals. An intelligent map on the application will direct you to the location of your targeted species and to visit the seven wonders of Dusit Zoo. Moreover! This is the first time that you all can learn different names of the animals in the ASEAN languages, and the significant incidents that has happened through the past 75 years since the zoo was founded. More importantly, this application perfectly promotes the extracurricular learning for the kids and implants them with love and care for the other species sharing the same planet with them, as well as promotes the memorable experience for the family members. And we believe that “the kids of today are the future hope of a nation!”

1. The Dusit Zoo Animal Encyclopedia illustrates the interesting facts about various kinds of animals displayed in Dusit Zoo including rare animals and local animals. These 180 animals are classified by their species.

2. The animal-study routing map offers you with the map and location of the animals around the zoo including reptiles, night-life animals and African animals.

3. The animal searching system helps you easily look for the targeted animals or major places around the zoo.

4. The Global Positioning System [GPS] will show your current position on the map right after you have entered Dusit Zoo so that you can search for useful information, calculate the distance of your animal-study route, and select a certain route toward the locations of the targeted animals.

5. Dusit Zoo Timeline presents a 75 year-history of Dusit Zoo starting from the reign of King Rama V, the creation of the shelter during the World War, the great flood, and the major incidents from the past to present.

6. This application gives you a chance to learn, listen, and pronounce the animal’s names in 4 ASEAN languages including Thai, Lao, Cambodian, and Vietnamese (including English), so that you will be surprised why some animal’s names are pronounced similarly in different languages.

7. This application will give the very first moment for you to listen to a song “Khao Din Wana” which has been re-composed with new lyric and melody. This nostalgic song will bring back your childhood memory and the first impression when you first met Dusit Zoo.
